Sony’s 3rd party support has been doing all the dirty work for Sony. Nioh, Nier, Ni No Kuni, Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Yakuza 5, Gravity Rush 2 etc.. are all 3rd party exclusives.

PS4 Pro didn’t have any exclusive titles when it launched. The thing that can possibly hurt MS is the price point. No company, no matter how much it’s worth/money it makes, wants to take a loss on hardware at launch. PS3 is a prime example on how that can backfire. Although Sony made up an unbelievable amount of ground from launch day of PS3 to the intro of the next gen cycle by selling more consoles than the 360, it hurt them tremendously at the beginning.

MS has said that they’re selling the Scorpio as a “Premium” choice for a console. Regardless, they’re hoping to sell millions upon millions of these things. If the price is at $399 or $449, they could be sitting pretty good for sales projections. If they price it at $499 or $549, they’re going to have a hard time. When the Scorpio is released, I can definitely see Sony dropping the price on the Pro to $349 with 2 games or $299 standard issue. One major thing that can hurt MS is if Sony makes a bundle for the PS4 Slim Bundled with a PSVR for $399 or less, especially if the Scorpio sells at $499+. Ultimately, MS is going to have to have some sort of Exclusive/s to sell this new piece of hardware in order to compete
