Man, sry but Vulcan project is absolutely correct in what he is saying. Floating point performance is not a proper measurement of performance across different architectures. Nvidia chips r always rated lower in terms of Tflops.

Also, the 3 gig 1060 is a budget version of the 1060 and is not the standard model. It performs significantly worse than the standard 6gig model at higher resolutions. The 3gig chip is cut down and really struggles above 1080p.

If u want to reference the digital foundry destiny video, they state that 4k 30 at maxx settings is easy on the 1060 (note, the Xbox one x is falls well short of Maxx settings )
Before I am acused of being some sort of fan boy or hater, I own both the Xbox one x and a gtx1060 6gig equiped system and while the Xbox one x is comparable to a 1060 6gig at higher resolutions, the x doesn’t hold a candle in the wind compared to a 1060 with a mid range i5 or better when it comes to 1080p performance

All it does it further the idea you know nothing about hardware. In my first post I talked about GTX1060 and RX580 as the two examples. These are comparable cards in the same class.

GTX1060 3GB isn’t. GTX 1060 3GB is comparable to an RX570, both the class below these mentioned. Of course I wrote that assuming people would have a speck of knowledge and understand the best selling, most common card and comparable class to an RX580 is the full 6GB version of the GTX1060.

Xbox One X has no overhead on Forza 7. If you’re talking about when they ported Forza 6 onto Xbox One X and had overhead left over when it was set to ultra, that was before they added weather and all sorts of effects to Forza 7.

I noticed you chose not mention the roughly 25-30% overhead the X has even when running Forza 7 at native 4K, 60fps, with the equivelant of Ultra quality on PC. That is perfectly in line with every thing you have done so far in this conversation. You gotta protect that fragile ego, right?

The top video is running on a 3GB 1060. This isn’t the card we’re talking about. That card is a cut down GTX1060, with less processing cores and half the memory of a GTX1060 6GB. So your first video is dismissed before it even starts.

The second video shows native 4K Destiny 2 on a GTX970 with high settings doing 30FPS, a card slower than a GTX1060. Read the title, 30FPS is EASY! The rest of the video is them lowering settings to aim for 60FPS, a framerate Xbox One X doesn’t do. Reinforcing my point and backing me up, matching Xbox One X with that card is EASY. Congratulations for posting evidence backing me up that. You’re extremely dumb.

As for the third video it’s nearly useless. We don’t get to see the settings and what anti aliasing is running, we don’t get to know the full specs of the machine. The very fact we don’t get this information is suspiciously ambiguous. Hows about a video where we do?

Try again, another failure for you. I own Forza 7 and know it’s performance very well, it actually drops frames on Xbox as well. There are complaints on the forums about it, and stutter on Xbox.

See GTX1060 is very very similar to Xbox One X. It varies slightly game to game performance, but the end results are pretty much the same. An overclock on the card also evens everything out, as most people do.

Effects clearly turned down on the 1060. I also get the feeling this is where you are getiing your information. This channel does not use testing software fyi. The difference is clearly visible even on a sub-4k screen.

Yes there are lots of performance analysis that show how the GTX1060 and RX580 are pretty much equal to Xbox One X in most games.

For example the last patch Digital Foundry analysed was Destiny 2 in native 4K and 30FPS on Xbox One X.

Both those video cards EASILY max the game with better settings than Xbox One X and sustain the same 30FPS. If you accept console level settings and an overclock of those cards you can pretty much get 60FPS too!

Adding to the raft of games that prove the performance is similar, like Forza 7 how they easily do 4K and 60FPS, or Killer Instinct where they easily do 4K and 60PS, or Halo Wars 2 which is 30FPS on Xbox One X and those cards can easily do 60FPS. Or Hitman 4K 30FPS. It goes on and on like this, these cards equalling and often bettering Xbox One X thanks to a decent CPU.

So yes, tonnes of real world evidence that prove I’m correct. also a lot that prove you know absolutely nothing by using FLOPS as a comparison like a complete imbecile. Backing that up with a distinct lack of knowledge about vocabulary.

No one reading needs to listen to you or me about how the 1060 stacks up against the X. There is performance analysis all over the internet that proves the 1060 isnt the performance equivalent to the X. You can cry, kick, and scream all you want.
