The price is not the problem. The problem for me is out of all those 42 games, I see no reason to upgrade from my X1S. At least for the Pro it made my VR experience tons better.

Let’s be fair, the X1 X packs a lot of optimization and power… and an equivalent PC (including the UHD Blu Ray drive) would cost something around $1000. Microsoft is asking for half of that including their R&D costs. They are probably already selling it on a loss. If you want it cheaper wait for a price cut a year from now, or get something else.
