In reply to Eddie Battikha. No,the sweet spot is that by 3 years the consoles are fully optimized and game development improves allowing for more enriched experiences. With mid-cycle refreshes as soon as they get to that point in a console's life it'll be back to learning to optimize newer hardware again. The problem with the next gen games is that they will be 100gigs or more a game and with mid-cycle refreshes they will only get bigger because there's no time to optimize them. The next Halo is over 100gigs for the Xbox One X! You'll fill your harddrive in less than 3 months and then where will you be? At the store buying external harddrives every 6 months.

Lol i got lucky last October and got a new 55 inch LGB6 for $1699 total the next month I traded in my launch PS4 for the PS4 Pro. I got too experience 4k with Nba 2k17 and Fifa 17 right away from a $399 Console.

Nah itll be the opposite 3 year refreshes are gonna be the norm and the best stratagey for Sony and Microsoft going forward, itll be a little bit of teething in the beginning for Console gamers but without a doubt the right move for Sony anf Microsoft theres always gonna be Early Tech Adopters and 3 years to me is the sweet spot.

In reply to Holeybartender. Devs care just as much about sales as they do graphics. Also, look at pc gaming. Developers don't only put or games that run on the 70 or 80s (970, 1070, 980, 1080). Games run better on better hardware but they are still designed to run on lesser. I see xbox one og getting support until whatever comes after the X. And the X getting support until whatever comes after.

If you ever see any negative troll comments on Xbox articles it’s him. Regards less of the name. Just look for the up votes because no one really up votes. He even argues with himself sometimes about which console is better.

If I had to guess I’d say he’s an Xbox fanatic that just wants to make Sony fanatics look crazy and psychotic.

In reply to Holeybartender. I said with no real alternative. The alternative was PS4. If PS4 and XB1 had the exact same policies, people would buy. I also said they could make it just appealing enough. And while we complained about MS' proposed XB1 policies and many abandoned the brand, devs snuck in some of those policies through the backdoor by giving us games that require internet in order to play. The way things are done isn't the way things will always be done. Change is the only constant in life and u must be ready to adapt. It doesn't mean we should blindly buy products and follow. Just understand when change is 1) inevitable and 2) viable
