not a fanboy, i like and own a gaming pc w/ 1080ti, a ps4, and an xbox one x. notice i dont have the ps4 pro, even tho i have 4k hdr monitors and a uhdtv. b/c the OG ps4 is about as good as the pro. still 30 fps, still utilises the HDR, still psuedo upconverted 4k either way.. i play excluses on it exclusively. the one x i play Madden, 2k, fifa on with my friends- in 4k/60. And all demanding titles and whatnot on my PC in 4k/60 Ultra. Life is good. No need to be a fanboy. That said, Xbox One X is a beast of a console. Copped mine on Ebay for $380 (scorpio ed).

Direct3D API was designed to scale with stronger hardware.

The main difference between PC’s DirectX 12 and Xbox One DirectX12 is Xbox’s microcode engine for Direct3D API related translation handling.

In reply to Sp4ctr0. Xbox One X is based on Windows 10 with hardware baked in DirectX12 with microcode engine. The translation from DirectX12 API to GPU ISA stage on Windows PC is done via the CPU. Like Windows PC, AF 16X is forced for legacy games.

In reply to Sp4ctr0. Reference GTX 1070 at near max boost mode at 1800Mhz yields 6.9 TFLOPS. My MSI GTX 1080 TI FE has undisclosed boost mode to 1800 Mhz and sometimes, it lands on 1900 Mhz.

Funny how you treat PC gaming and console gaming like they are the same thing. Both cater to different audiences. Consoles cater to the living room/television. PCs cater to the desk/monitor.

It’s also funny you said PC runs games better. Well, since the ‘X is being compared to a 1070, and in some cases as of Digital Foundry’s latest analysis show, the ‘X even runs better than PC.

Let’s look at some math though. Let’s be generous and say there are 20 million PCs out there running a 1080 equivalent or higher. 1080s are $500+ first of all. Out of 2 billion PCs 20 million is .01%. That’s .01% of PCs that “run better”

It’s also funny you just come across as an opinionated salty Sony fanboi trying to downplay something that is better than what you’ve got.

Seems like nobody told you this is the biggest power gap we’ve ever had in gaming.
And the difference is clear. PS4 1080p textures vs xbox 4k textures.
