It isn’t misleading. All they say is that Microsoft lost money (mainly because they spent a lot of money restructuring their phone division but that should turn around when they release Windows 10) and that the Xbox division saw increase sales and revenue. That is all you need to know. The information is for investors. It is not for fanboys scrambling around for bad news. So don’t waste your time trying to find something wrong with that. Just enjoy whatever console and PC you play on and don’t waste your time telling others what to buy.

They made a profit. Sony and Nintendo also tell investers and consumers when thy post profits or losses.

Why are they hiding the losses/profits of their Xbox division? It’s because Microsoft is lying. Withholding the truth to intentionally misslead people is still as bad as lying.

How is this lying? That would imply they said something that isn’t true. This is not a example of lying. The truth is that revenue for the Xbox division thanks to increase sales of consoles, increase subscription of Xbox Live and first party game sales such as Minecraft. They are talking to investors, not fanboys scrambling to find negativity.
