While there’s still big mysteries for Sony’s PS5 (namely, when can you buy it and how much it is going to come out of your pocket to do so), Microsoft’s next generation plans seem to be all on the table now. We now know they have two systems coming this November, the high-end Xbox Series X, and the more low-end, affordable Xbox Series S. They will retail for $499 and $299, respectively, and it seems like they’re also going to potentially sound great.

As announced via their official Twitter, Dolby has announced the Series S and X will be the first gaming consoles to utilize both Dolby Vision as well as Dolby Atmos. If you’re unfamiliar, Vision is a form of HDR, while Atmos allows you to heighten your current audio hardware and even isolate certain aspects of tracks to improve. You can read more details about both on the official website through here.

The Xbox Series S and X will launch on November 10th. Both will be see support for Dolby Atmos at launch, but Dolby Vision support will come later in 2021.
