Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Patch Brings Event Theater Function, Support Items

The day one update purports to "adjust" game balance and deploy gameplay "fixes".

After much hype and strong critical praise, Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is now out and about for all Nintendo Switch owners. Despite just releasing, it already has a patch to activate certain features.

Patch 1.1.0 includes the Event Theater function for watching the cut-scenes back (at least, those which don’t have the terrible English voice-acting). Game balance has also been “adjusted” and various fixes have been deployed to improve the gameplay. These fixes haven’t been detailed sadly nor do we know how the game balance has been “adjusted”.

The update also allows players to receive all the support items that come with the Expansion Pass. The support items include 50,000 G; three cream orange paratas (pouch items); 10 silver cylinders; and 5 common core crystals. More DLC content will be coming in January 2018 and the Expansion Pass download currently requires 600 MB of space. This size could increase as more content is added over the coming year.
