Xenoblade Chronicles 2’s Soundtrack Getting International Release on May 23

As I recall it was you, you wished that I would stay...

One of the best soundtracks for a video game for last year was Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the one area in which the game was an undisputed, unquestionable triumph. With the work of many artists coming together to create a synthesis of melodies and styles, the Xenoblade 2 soundtrack is epic, grand, and stirring.

And now you can own it if you want. While it won’t be getting a physical release in the west like it did in Japan, Nintendo has confirmed that it will be launching on May 23 digitally on iTunes, Google Play Music, and Amazon- which is every major music platform there is. It will not be available on streaming services like Spotify, which is a shame, but honestly, I would rather own it than stream it anyway.

Xenoblade 2 has some amazing compositions, such as The Tomorrow With You and Drifting Souls- even if you don’t like the game, make sure to check out the release of the soundtrack. If you haven’t even checked out the game yet, do that first- it’s great, and available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
