Xenoblade Chronicles X Is Already Being Localized

So don't worry about a delayed release this time.

As amazing a game as Xenoblade Chronicles ultimately was, I am sure most people here remember the debacle surrounding its original release in the west- the game released in Japan, followed by a European release a year later, but Nintendo refused to bring it over to America, convinced it would not sell. Ultimately, fans petitioned for its release so much, they capitulated and brought it over as a highly limited release, which then proceeded to sell so much, that Nintendo changed its stance on localizations of Japanese games (which is why they have been so proactive with games like Fire Emblem and Bravely Default since then).

For people who were convinced and worried that Xenoblade Chronicles X, the Wii U exclusive follow up, might suffer from a slow, delayed localization too- in spite of the fact that Nintendo has been showcasing it at all international media events possible- well, the developer has convinced that it is already being localized, so calm down.

“Counting, it’s been about 5 years since Xenoblade’s release meaning you’ve all been waiting for a long time, but, speaking honestly, it feels like a long time even for those of us working here,” Monolith Soft said on the game’s official Twitter page (tweets translated by user L~A on NeoGAF). “On top of that, we’re also well underway with localization work, too.”

Which rests my personal fears not regarding the game’s ultimate release in the west (I knew it was coming), but regarding its release date– I wasn’t sure if it was going to hit the promised 2015 release date, now I am pretty positive it will.
