Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition Launching December 4

A special game made even more special.

Update: An error had been made in reporting. We have rectified it in the original article below. The console bundle for Xenoblade Chronicles X has not yet been announced in North America.

Original Story:

Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles X, the sequel to the Wii exclusive breakout JRPG, is undoubtedly one of the biggest games in the Wii U’s future lineup- so of course it makes sense that it would be promoted with a special edition.

In addition to the special console bundle that was announced and confirmed for European territories already, the game itself will also be getting a Special Edition. The Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition, which was announced at PAX Prime, launches on December 4, and comes with the game, custom USB drive and soundtrack, and artbook.

Xenoblade Chronicles X itself launched in Japan earlier this year (in April), where it met with mostly positive reception, though people did note that the game was not as special as its predecessor had been. It launches everywhere else worldwide this December, and will presumbly get the full push of Nintendo’s marketing, unlike the original Xenoblade Chronicles, which was practically a stealth release.
