This September 18th, the popular Xperia Play (or PSP Phone) will be available through AT&T as a service provider. Is has since only been available through Verizon, but it will still run the standard Android Gingerbread (2.3.3) Operating System. Why would anyone switch service providers though? Well AT&T has an answer for that with the perks and exclusive games you will get with them as you service provider. The phone will be available in ‘Stealth Blue’, it will have 4G capability and come with the Sony Ericsson Multimedia Dock DK300 as well as a music cable. AT&T users will get the Xperia Play pre-loaded with the following games:
Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave
Asphalt 6 Adrenaline
Star Battalion
Madden NFL 11
The Sims 3
Tower Bloxx: My City
Crash Bandicoot
Where as Verizon users get their Xperia Play phones pre-loaded with Madden NFL 11 (EA), Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline (Gameloft), The Sims 3 (EA), Star Battalion (Gameloft), Crash Bandicoot (Sony) and Tetris. Although there has been a price drop in the Xperia Play if purchasing it through Verizon, AT&T is offering their package for $49.99 with a two year sign on.
