I for one never really care much about Rising’s story. Ever since I saw that melon cutnitg footage, I know that I could care less about the story and simply enjoy the mindless hacking fun. Plus, it’s a spin-off about Raiden, not Snake, so they can do whatever the heck they want with it, I simply won’t care (but if it was Snake amidst all that over-the-top ridiculousness though, I might just throw a chair or two.)Either way, it’s not like this project had much of a choice. It’s either letting Platinum Games take over the project or cancel it. The old team literally ran out of ides about what to do with the game, even Kojima has commented that it might not be possible for the project to be completed, but team kept on going until they hit a wall. So perhaps we should be glad that at least Platinum Games picked this up and the game won’t be cancelled?By the way, Kojima has also said in this Tweet that had the old version been released to world, people wouldn’t see it as part of the Metal Gear series anyway. So, I guess Platinum Games simply expanded that single notion about a hundred times more, completely alienated the game from the series with all of its craziness.In any case, there is an interesting fact.
