Zelda: Breath of the Wild Glitch Makes The Game Look ‘Realistic’

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Twilight Princess.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the best looking Zelda game ever, but it uses a highly stylized cel shaded cartoonish look to achieve that effect. For many fans, the more realistic art styles of Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess was along the lines of what they want Zelda to be- and interestingly enough, there is a glitch in the game that lets you achieve that.

Reddit’s Rangers_Of_The_North has apparently discovered a glitch which removes the cartoon shader from the game, making things look realistic- on the bridge over Lake Hylia, on the left side of the gate there is a broken concave section that you rest at, and zoom in. Doing so apparently glitches the cartoon shader into being off.

The glitch has been replicated by Game Informer since, so we know it’s not an emulation trick, either. It’s pretty cool to see how the game would look if it didn’t go for a cartoon style- personally, I think I like how the game looks now better.
