I always thought they should do their own fictionalized version of Chicago, the city I’ve lived in for five years. It has plenty of great, scenic locales, and is of course well known for its sordid past. I know they’ve already announced the location of V, but maybe at some point in the future they’ll consider recreating The Second City in all its glory.

I also disagree with the assertion that Liberty City was the most likely. I doubt Rockstar would attempt to recreate New York City in two consecutive GTA releases (and if you consider both Episodes and Chinatown Wars, that makes four GTA games in a row that take place in Liberty City).

Other than that, I would say that I am very excited for Los Santos, but I was also pumped for Vice City. If Rockstar gave it the treatment they’re giving GTA IV & V, that would be awesome.

My most wanted game in the world, however, aligns with your “Future” setting. A game in a gigantic city with flying cars (imagine the chases; I’m thinking along the lines of the chase scene on Coruscant in Episode II), incredibly tall skyscrapers (at least a mile high please), and weapons of the future would be awesome. I also want a piece of futurism that illustrates drastic social changes that would occur over the time from the present to the time of the game. Future societies will bear little resemblance to our current one.

I almost wish Rockstar would just do a licensed open world game within the Mass Effect or Star Wars universes, but a new IP would be welcome for sure. The game that I want would probably require a great deal of processing power, so maybe it’s best to wait for the next generation. I like to think that Rockstar is secretly working on a massive open world game set in the future; they’re just taking their sweet time to make it the best it can be, as usual.
