GET RID OF EUPHORIA! Who the heck LEANS on a walking turn? Need tires with at least 1% traction. That was the most annoying driving physics I've ever seen. I ended up paying thousands to the taxi service!!

completely agree with the car handling, in a game that focuses so heavily on driving to not be able to take a corner(with out crashing) at any vaguely high/medium speeds is ridiculous

In reply to <a href="https://gamingbolt.com/10-things-that-need-to-be-changed-for-gta-v#comment-69975">p0rtal00</a>.

@p0rtal00

Crappy driving physics? You have got to be kidding! GTA IV had BY FAR the deepest and most realistic driving in any open world sandbox game. The cars actually have weight. You slam on the brakes and the car lurches forward, and so does Niko in his seat. You accelerate and the car gently leans back. You take a turn and the car rocks on its suspension. The closest comparison in an open world game is Mafia II, but that has 40s and 50s cars.

To add to the experience, GTA IV's damage modeling is in a league of its own. Cars can get completely crushed and the canned damage from past gen GTAs (and every other current gen open world game) is gone. The car can actually get crushed in a way that a tire gets bent out of place, completing impairing your driving abilities. The only thing missing is the possibility for your car to actually lose a tire.

With GTA IV's driving physics, for the first time ever, it was fun for me to simply drive around the city slowly, following traffic laws, taking turns, going over a bump... it all feels so natural and realistic. And the incredible Euphoria physics make running peds down in your car infinitely more fun than in any other game with basic old ragdoll physics.

So you can take the incredibly shallow driving experience of your Saints Rows, with their archaic PS2 vehicle "physics" and their canned damage modeling, and I'll take my deep GTA IV vehicle physics.

Seriously, all I have to say to you people who criticise the game for being serious, is FUCK YOU. There are plenty of games out there to satisfy your puerile needs. Rockstar are the only game developer around at the minute who make meaningful games and we very much need it to stay that way. Social commentary does not work anywhere near as well if the game is too over the top. Chinatown wars suffers a lot from this, it's just not meaningful at all to play because of the lack of depth in characters and plot and world. The lack of radio stations (instrumental ones don't count) is a huge deal too. You spend almost all your time driving about bored, radio stations bring the world to life and most other games could learn from that. Something like mass effect could have galactic radio channels with comedy stations, chat shows, call in shows, etc. using the different alien races and it would be wonderful. But no other developer goes that extra mile that Rockstar do. GTAIV is easily the greatest game of all time, and even episodes for liberty city would be if GTAIV never existed. By a million miles the greatest ever DLC.

10. I found having toll booths added more immersion into the game. They're trying to show you how New York is like, toll booths included.
9. Granted I wish there was more random acts of violence or spotanious ai to ai interaction. Stuff like police chases from san andreas and the AI mussing you for money like GTA2.
8. In the Lost and Damned you were able to do gang wars against your rivals, mafia, Rastafarians, Yakuza, russian mob, and your bike rivalgang The angels of Death. To add you can also have drug wars and do ufc style matches in TBOGT.
7. Did everyone forget the sleep feature on the phone itself? Just scroll down to options and you can put little jacob n packy on hold.
6. I always found using the phone to queue up to multi player from single player to be quite painless. how long are you fiddling around in the menus?
5. There was alot of mission variety in GTA4. example: Brucie needed you to follow a guy for him and see where his whereabouts were then asked you to sign up to a dating site and pose as a rich gay guy so you can lure in the culprit then shortly after meeting him at a diner you have a small conversation until you ultimately kill him.
4. 64 players would be an interesting idea but would be to hard to deliver that experience on consoles since the hardware is only able to handle so much on screen before it melts your hardware. I honestly think the game modes they provided were very polished such as Cops N Crooks, Team Mafiya Work, Turf War, GTA Race, and free mode.
3. I never found it that difficult to find a cab shortly after a mission to get to the next since I think the game was set up with that mind set for people who just want to hurry on through the game, I think a cool idea that could be implemented would be having the taxi wait for you while you went into burger shot and got your health back and run back in the cab and get along to the next point.
2. You should use the web browser and read some of the stuff on there or see a bunch of rubble only upon closer inspection you notice a huge purp-.. well you know. Also the television had some gret shows and calling some of the numbers on the advertisements were pretty funny.
1. The overall tone of the game was nothing close to serious. All The characters were your basic stereotype Megalomaniacs youd expect from your typical GTA universe.
