To all of you haters.... disbelievers... PS3 Fan boys.... You know the ones that have passed judgment before the thing has even been released.... If you saw the demo at E3, they didn't demo not one FPS. No one is saying it will REPLACE the controller. What they are saying is that it will ADD a new and different element/experience to how games will be played. Most of what they demoed was targeted at specific types of games. Who knows what the future holds for it. Rest assured taht if the Wii was successful, there's a good chance that this will be too.

So stop being so closed minded. You sound like a group of retarded cavemen not believing the damn wheel can actually can roll!!!! Go do a GEICO commercial and shut the hell up!!!

I couldn't agree less. An action game like Shadow of the Colossus? Lets ingore how much of a tool you'd feel like, miming climbing up the hair of a colossus, or stabbing with an imaginary sword. The games frantic horseriding? Think how it would feel if it was even less responsive and inexact.

For Okami, I suppose you're gonna headbutt your tv to get Amateratsu to tackle.

For stealth games, no. Not only does stealth require precision, it requires movement, which won't work in an enclosed space, like, say, a living room.

The RTS would require a remapping of all functions in a way that could only potentially work, and even then its no more suited for it than the Wand or the Wiimote.

This thing is not going to change anything, it is a gimick and is not useful for anything other than a gimick

controller free? stupid gimmick. The actions will be very much limited. People will be confused rather than get excited, esp on fast paced games. Imagine yourself in an FPS environment and you want to look back to see if there's an enemy behind, how are you gonna do that? Turn 180 degrees? your back will be facing the TV. That's the limitation I'm talking about, it can't do everything you want to.
Natal(It just does everything wrong)

I disagree. The only one that might work is the rhythm game. This will be something neat for a few weeks and then everyone will go back to controllers, because there's more you can do with them, you can do it more accurately, and it feels less awkward.

I totally disagree, I can imagine myself using Natal with games like Guitar Hero and few select others but action games? Imagine playing DMC with Natal only, it's impossible and lame.
I seriously think this isn't the future and even though I have a 360, I won't support this.

The rythm games suggestions makes no sense. Tactile feed back is incredibly important when it comes to playing a musical instrument, and as great as Natal is it doesn't provide tactile feed back.

All very interesting "potential." I can't wait to see how Natal develops over the next 2-3 years as developers figure out the best way to utilize this technology to deliver better experiences for not only gaming and media experience based on the lessons learned from Eye Toy, Wii-motes, PSEye and other virtual/non-controller initiatives. Hope MS is taking good notes so they don't drop the virtual ball on this one. Maybe Natal will win most innovative device of 2009 just for encouraging people to think of possibilities over the next 4 years : ) Colony on Mars is right around the corner!
