A Very Dedicated Fan Recreated Halo’s Pillar of Autumn Entirely With LEGOs

That's some dedication right there, man.

The Pillar of Autumn is, of course, the Halo franchise’s most famous spaceship, so it makes sense that a lot of the fans’a adoration for the franchise will also be directed towards the ship itself. One such form of this adoration is a bit… disturbing in its sheer elaborateness.

You see, one fan has spent three and a half years, and over $7000 in Lego bricks (yes, Legos) to create a real life to scale replica of The Pillar of Autumn. I’m not kidding, you can see it above right there.

It was made by a Lee Jones, previously famous for his recreation of the final Matrix battle, and the Balrog battle from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

Unfortunately, the model will soon be destroyed, as Jones said the ship suffered damage on its way back from a showing in Seattle.

“A new SHIP will rise in its place,” he said, “but from a different universe than the Halo universe.”

Personally, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the Millennium Falcon.
