I mean everything in moderation, it's probably not the best idea to just let your kids sit in front of a television all the time with epilepsy inducing colors yelling and making loud sounds in their face but complaining about the content of what their indulging in is kinda stupid so long as it's age appropriate. In a lot of cases, its actually hypocritical, Jack Thompson is one of these religious zealots that go around protesting violence in video games while ignoring the violence in the very book he places faith in. In his eyes violence is only ok when God needs to snuff out a couple thousand people for the good of humanity.

Giggled at the article picture, not the one with Thompson in it.
This guy needs to ask why people are even doing this to begin with, these massacres are kind of indications that we have deep-seeded flaws in some school systems, and that’s what needs to addressed. Not the gaming community.
Valve didn’t even make the mod.
“I hate being right all the time”…obviously shows the man’s ego has some problems, he’s captain of a lost cause.
These mods aren’t much different than some heavy metal songs I’ve heard. It’s a harmful way to express yourself, but it is expression nonetheless.

Was kind of sporadic on that one, this crap get’s me worked up.

Screw that, we need more violent video games if anything. Violence in game hinders violence in real life because then you have a place to vent. The reason these morons protest violent games is too get recognition and appear as if they care about their community and country. If they really cared they’d stop worrying about games and start worrying about the homeless rate, the unemployment rate, the quality of life in the worst parts of towns; thing like that. I hope to see the majority of these people die out as I grow older, I’d like to see ignorance like this be left in the past……..along with racism.

I agree. & I don’t understand y he thinks Gabe Newell is responsible. All Valve does is provide the mod tools, they don’t have anythin 2 do w/ the content produced w/ it. Its like suing Glock cuz sum1 got shot w/ 1 of their guns…lol.
