Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Update 1.1.4 Adjusts Spawn Rate of Eggs

Eggs will become easier to collect again once Bunny Day rolls around.

A new update is available for Animal Crossing: New Horizons which should help players complaining about the excessive number of eggs available as part of Bunny Day. When the event started last week, it saw Zipper T. Bunny arrive on the player’s island and hide eggs everywhere. These could be used to craft limited time items.

The problem is that the event was a little too generous when it came to doling out eggs, almost to the exclusive of everything else. Update 1.1.4 should fix that. But don’t worry – when April 12th, aka the actual Bunny Day rolls around, the spawn rates will increase again, making it easier to collect eggs.

Another fix has been included for Flick who would incorrectly recreate the Platinum Kogana/Scarab Beetle for players. This should now be fixed. Check out the translated patch notes below and stay tuned for more details on upcoming updates especially with Earth Day coming this month.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused Rex Kurushima to receive a specific model of “Platinum Kogane” and then receive different models of insects.

<Correspondence with the save data in which the problem occurs>

  • After the update, pass the “Platinum Kogane” to Rex again, and you will receive the correct model.

Balance adjustment

  • During the Easter event, the appearance rate of some eggs has been adjusted until April 11, 2020.
  • Eggs are easier to collect on the day of Easter (April 12, 2020).

There is no local communication compatibility with Ver. 1.1.3 or earlier. Please prepare the version of the update data with the person who plays together.
