With Nintendo Switch Online launching tonight, Nintendo will also be updating lot of its existing multiplayer games to enable online functionality via its Nintendo Switch Online app, which until now, has only supported Splatoon 2. One of the games Nintendo will support via the service will be ARMS, the 3D fighter that they released early last year.
Nintendo announced that update 5.4 will be launching via a tweet made by the game’s mascot, Biff. Interestingly enough, one way to read the tweet is to assume that it is teasing a new character announcement, since it seems to suggest the in-game Dr. Coyle was heard speaking to someone; on the other hand, this could well be a reference to the phone based voice chat Nintendo Switch Online enables.
Other games that will be supporting Nintendo Switch Online will include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, as well as the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
