Assassin’s Creed Pirates Takes to High Seas on Mobile Platforms in December

Play the mobile off-shoot for ACIV on iOS and Android.

Ubisoft has announced that the mobile off-shoot for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, namely Assassin’s Creed Pirates, will be releasing on the Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore on December 5th for £2.99. It will be available for “high end smartphones”, so if you’re looking for the perfect excuse to get that new Nexus 5, this is it.

Assassin’s Creed Pirates will take place during the same Golden Age of Piracy, exploring the Caribbean as Alonzo Batilla. It will feature a new 3D engine for mobiles which renders waves, islands and other settings with lush detail. You’ll be engaging in naval combat, exploration and hunting for treasure. You’ll have your own ship, which can be upgraded and customized accordingly, and manage your crew members, adding new team members to the cause of discovering La Buse’s treasure and eventually becoming the most famed pirate in the Caribbean.

Of course, you’ll also get involved in the war between the Assassins and Templars, with figures such as Blackbeard, Bellamy and Hornigold making appearances. Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks.
