Astro Bot Has Over 80 Levels, More Than 15 New Abilities

The DualSense, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, is fully supported. Team Asobi also promises "improved Astro controls."

Team Asobi finally revealed its next game at Sony’s State of Play, and as rumors claimed, it’s new Astro Bot title. Unlike Astro’s Playroom, it’s a full-fledged release and while the reveal trailer’s description claimed over 50 levels, a PlayStation Blog post noted that it’s actually more than 80.

You’ll discover these across six new galaxies, with Astro searching for his crew again. Using the Dual Speeder (the Dual Sense turned space vehicle), he can travel to each planet separately, utilizing over 15 new abilities. Barkster, the robotic dog showcased in the trailer, is one and grants air-dashing, allowing players to break through obstacles and take out enemies.

The Twin-Frog Gloves were also featured, providing extended melee attacks, while the Giant Sponge allows Astro to grow in size. Like Playroom, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and other DualSense functions are fully supported, with Team Asobi touting improved controls.

Astro Bot is available on September 6th for PS5. Stay tuned for more details and updates en route to release.
