Astro Bot is Priced at $60

As opposed to several other first-party PlayStation titles that cost $70, Astro Bot's standard edition will cost $60.

Sony may not be releasing any flagship first-party games this year on the level of something like a God of War or Horizon, but there are several PlayStation Studios games lined up for release in the coming months nonetheless- and none that looks as promising and delightful as Astro Bot does. Announced last month, the 3D platformer is being billed as the series’ biggest outing ever, and with pre-orders having gone live today, details have now also emerged on its pricing.

As confirmed on that PlayStation Store, the standard edition for Astro Bot will be priced at $59.99. Though Sony has priced most of its major first-party titles at $70 over the last few years, it looks like it’s viewing the upcoming Team Asobi platformer as relatively smaller-scale release. Meanwhile, the game’s digital deluxe edition is priced at $69.99, and comes with several bonuses, including in-game cosmetics that are also earnable in-game. Astro Bot is due out for PS5 on September 6. The game will feature no microtransactions.
