Atlus Hiring For New “High End PS4 Action Game”

Atlus doing an action game? I never saw it coming!

Atlus is on top of the world after the huge success both critical and commercial of last year’s Persona 5, but the publisher isn’t just going to ride that gravy train. On top of the forthcoming Catherine remake, it appears that Atlus is hiring for an as of yet unknown “High-End Action Game” through listing spotted with Japanese career site Creator’s Partner Fellows.

While of course there’s no information on what kind of action game they might be making, it’s interesting to speculate on what they might be up to. Atlus has a long history stretching back to the early days of gaming, and while in the past they’ve acted as publisher for a huge variety of games, their in house productions have overwhelmingly been focused on role playing games, not action titles.

The job ad has been removed since it was first spotted, but we’ve embedded the translated job description beneath this story. Keep it locked to Gamingbolt as this story develops.

A newly under-development PlayStation 4 project. We will tell you of the game’s style when you are interviewed.

As for the genre, it is a game that includes action-based battle elements.

“2D concept art production” is the main duty [for this job].
