Bandai Namco is Developing a 3D Action Game Commissioned by Nintendo, as Per Job Ad

Previous job ads have suggested that the project in question is a remaster, with rumours claiming that it could be for Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Bandai Namco has routinely worked with Nintendo on several of the latter’s games, having been involved in the development of Super Smash Bros. in particular, and it seems the two are collaborating again on another mystery project.

Bandai Namco is looking to recruit game designer, and as per the job listing for the position, the company is developing 3D action game that has been “commissioned by Nintendo”. Further details on what the project is aren’t provided in the listing, though interestingly, previous job ads have hinted at the project being a remaster/remake of some sort.

Leaks have claimed that Bandai Namco is developing remaster of 2012 3DS shooter Kid Icarus: Uprising with updated visuals and controls. Recently, the original game’s director Masahiro Sakurai also seemed to be hinting at port being in the works.

Of course, until such time that an official announcement is made by Nintendo, all we can do is speculate, though hopefully it won’t be too long before we get concrete details on whatever this project is.
