Though Visceral Games is hogging the spotlight with Battlefield: Hardline, DICE is still pushing forward with Battlefield 4. It recently announced that its Battlepacks – the random in-game boxes of content – can now be purchased with real world currency.
The Bronze, Silver and Gold Battlepacks will be available on Origin, Battlelog and through the in-game store. They can also be purchased on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store for $1, $2 and $3 respectively. They will contain the usual assortment of dog tags, XP boosts, knives, paints, accessories, emblem shapes and much more. You can still earn Battlepacks the normal way, it seems, but if you want the process to go much faster, this is your ticket.
What are your thoughts on this development? Would you be willing to spend money for Battlepacks? At the very least you’re not paying for each individual bullet. Let us know what you think of this in the comments below.
