The beginning of the end for the Bethesda Launcher has finally arrived. All Bethesda Launcher users on PC can now begin migrating their game library over to Steam, as per the company on Twitter. The launcher will be sunset on May 11th.
An FAQ detailing the whole process can be viewed here. But essentially, all games played through the Bethesda Launcher will be playable on Steam going forward. All of your save data should transfer over automatically (with some games requiring manual transfer) but Bethesda.net account access is needed to transfer mods, skins and so on.
The Friends List is also merging with Steam for some titles like DOOM Eternal, Fallout 76, RAGE 2, Deathloop and so on. Also, despite recommending that one transfers their library as soon as possible, it can also be started later. Your library isn’t going to be removed or inaccessible – it simply won’t be playable through the Bethesda Launcher after it’s sunset. Stay tuned for further updates in the meantime.
