BioShock Vita is in the hands of 2K and Sony- Irrational

Here we go again

The PS Vita owners have plenty of games to look forward to, but few of them have actual release dates or any concrete information to base that on. Another one of those games that’s just been left hanging since its announcement is BioShock Vita, of which we know nothing but its name.

When will it come out? Well, BioShock devs Irrational don’t know either. They say it’s all up to Sony and 2K Games. “That is in the hands of business people right now,” Ken Levine, Irrational boss, said to IGN. “It’s something I’m still interested in, and people ask me that all the time. Right now I’m just sort of waiting to see what the business people come up with, and that’s sort of out of my hands at this point. That’s something that I think has a lot of potential. The game idea we have has a lot of potential. It’s just a question of [if] their stars all align.”

When asked whether the game would be set in Rapture from BioShock 1 and 2 or Columbia from Infinite, Levine said: “I actually never said where it was going to be set. I just said it would be in the BioShock franchise.”

It’s a shame, because BioShock looked like one of those games that could improve the Vita’s library a great deal. I mean, yeah, it’s not cancelled yet, but those words don’t sound very reassuring.

We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way. Stay tuned.
