Bioware would ‘love’ to make some new IPs

Speaking at GDC last week, Bioware’s Ray Muzyka has said that the developer would love to work on some new IP’s after the huge success of Dragon Age: Origins.

He said, “We would love to build some new IPs and settings that are different than the ones we’ve currently got while continuing to build within the frameworks of the franchises we’ve got, too.

“We’re going to have a mix of all those things going forward.”

So the sick-ass moves of DAO, mixed with the exploration of Mass Effect 2? Count me in!

On the whole Activision/Infinity Ward situation, Muzyka had the following to say; “It can’t be good for the industry,” he said. “Any way you look at it, it’s not good. I don’t think it’s good for that kind of litigation to occur with people who add that much value to a company. It’s just a mess. We know the guys moderately well, and we know a lot of the people at Activision moderately well, so it’s sobering.”
