I get why they are doing it. They are praying word of mouth will make some sales for them. I’m sure the development costs for that game were massive and so far over budget they are pulling their hair out.

It was supposed to be their racing platform till gt7. Sell dlc for a year or so make a lot of money etc etc but… Damn its unfortunate for them. They should have just delayed it. It probably would have sold better without all the bad press and holiday competition.

If this game came out in say march I would have bought it cause by then I’d be done with this seasons games for the most part.

lmao its not hard for driveclub games to be up 999% because it was basically free with the console. In the UK you could buy a PS4 with driveclub at £300 from asda.

They gave the game away for free and discounted the console and still didnt make it to number 1… pathetic

So sales were up 1% shy of 1000% and it still only charted at #8? Wow…that’s incredibly bad news for Sony and shows just how poorly its been selling since launch. I was pretty excited for the game and highly anticipating the plus version. Now…all that hype is gone. Horizon 2 scratched the itch for racing games this season. I’ve sunk about 60 hours into it.

Hopefully Sony learns something from all of this. Racing games are already a niche and only the top tier sell well. If you launch your first game in the series and it doesn’t work…for weeks and weeks chances are that series is dead. It also doesn’t help that they promoted it so heavily on its weather system and then shipped without that feature. Id have been pretty pissed had I bought it and it was missing. There still is no word on when they are going to actually add it in but since they are still trying to fix the game its probably going to be a while.
