Black Friday Sales Push Driveclub Sales Up 999%

Tyres that were once spinning, are gathering some traction

Drive Club, what was to be considered PlayStation 4’s Forza Horizon 2 killer saw a somewhat unappreciated reception when it launched earlier this year in October and since then the game has been hit by some game breaking connection issues that had, for all intents and purposes, guaranteed an early death for the admittedly rather impressive racer.

But with heavily discounted PlayStation 4 Bundles popping up in retailers during the Black Friday sales, it’s no surprise that the game saw a boost in popularity. The “massive sales” are being attributed to the sale and the discounted price of bundles and not the quality of the game which, despite being up 999%, only managed to make it to number 8 in this weeks charts.

The game has previously crawled its way back into the charts when Evolution, the games developers, released a free DLC package as a way of compensating players who had to suffer through the games launch. Perhaps now with Drive Club being in more homes than ever, the game can gather some traction.
