Bloodborne is the new action game announced for PlayStation 4, from the same mastermind who brought us Dark Souls, often hailed as the best game of last generation, and the result of a new collaboration between Sony and From Software (their last collaboration brought us Demon’s Souls). Although recent comments about Bloodborne have led to concerns that the game might be dumbed down, Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of the game, has stressed that the new game will espouse the same value as the Souls games.
“First of all we have a new hardware, and with that a new title. I think this game will become very challenging for us as we move forward.
“But on the other hand, what’s at the base, for instance, is still an attempt to create a game that you as well as people who like games will enjoy, and an attempt to let you play a game that will provide a sense of accomplishment and a challenge. That’s what we have done so far, and has not changed at all,” he said, while speaking to 4Gamer.
Bloodborne is due out next year; if it is half the game Dark Souls or even its lesser sequel was,, the PlayStation 4 will have gained a hell of an addition to its library.
