Bloodborne is a remarkable game, that has almost no flaws from a game design perspective; everything that pulls the game down (there isn’t much of that) comes from the game’s technical side. Notably, the problems are the extremely long loading times, and the framerate drops in multiple areas, in particular.
A lot has been said about them, and Sony and From Software pledged to release a patch addressing both these errors the day after the game had launched. And now, that patch may be finally coming- an update on the PlayStation Blog promised that the patch that handles both of these issues will be available before the end of this month.
“As we confirmed previously, the 1.03 update seeks to reduce certain load times in addition to performance optimizations,” they said. “The patch also resolves an issue that resulted in abnormal game behavior after many continuous hours of play. Additional fixes will be included as well.
“The team is currently working towards a global release of the 1.03 patch before the end of the month. We will try to provide more specific timing as soon as we are able.”
So that’s nice to know. Personally, I thought we were not going to get the fix. I mean, I didn’t mind it at all, and I have dozens of hours clocked into the game at this point. But it’s nice to know that a fix is coming.
