Bloodborne’s Online Functionality Has Been Restored

That was quick.

Very shortly after Sony announced that Bloodborne’s servers would be taken offline for a while for some ’emergency maintenance,’ the game’s vaunted online functionality has been restored. The game’s online functionality was restored with Patch 1.08, which launched earlier today, and which brings the serves back online.

Patch 1.08 presumably fixes the backend issues that caused the game to be taken offline in the first place – rumored to be incongruity in NPC survivor states being saved – although the patch notes don’t really let on much, just saying that ‘various bugs have been fixed.’

Be that as it may, you better clear out your hard drive for this patch as, just like the previous patch (which was released a few weeks ago ahead of the launch of the Old Hunters expansion), it’s pretty hefty, and will set your hard drive space back by quite a bit.

Bloodborne and Bloodborne: The Old Hunter are available now exclusively for the PS4.
