Borderlands 2 Ships 8.5 Million Units Since Launch, More DLC Incoming

More madness awaits.

Along with revealing that Grand Theft Auto 5 shipped 35 million units (and rising) since its launch last September, Take Two Interactive also announced in its latest financial report that Borderlands 2 has become 2K Games’ highest selling game till date.

Borderlands 2 shipped 8.5 million units since launching in Autumn 2012 and seen several DLC content packs which add new loot classes, tons more weapons, new characters with Gaige and Krieg and even a new Ultimate Vault Hunter run-through.

Those craving more content won’t have to wait long as Take Two revealed that more DLC will be on the way. In what form and exactly when is yet to be confirmed but at this point, the loot train can’t be stopped.

Borderlands 2 follows up on the critically acclaimed first game and adds four new player classes, a brand new campaign and oodles of loot. It’s also funny as hell, with a new range of characters and the same black comedy we know and love.
