Bravely Default 2 Gets Japanese Trailer Showing Off Setting, Magic, And More

Get a look at the upcoming Switch RPG.

To help kick off the next year, Square Enix and Nintendo will be bringing some RPG fun of the old school flavor to Switch owners with Bravely Default 2. A sequel to the acclaimed RPG series that began on the 3DS, it was once aiming to release this year, but was pushed back, like so many other games this year. Now, we get a little look at some of the setting, of the RPG, among other things.

A new trailer was released that highlights Wiswald. It’s a Magic Research Institute where mages go to practice. You also get a highlight of that job, as well as a few characters. The vegetation around Wiswald has become overgrown, giving it the look of a big tree or forest. The trailer is in Japanese, though you should be able to parse out some details even if you don’t know the language.

Bravely Default 2 is set to release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch February 21st, 2021. A demo is also out that can net you some rewards if you play it before launch, which you can read more details of through here
