If you thought Caffeine the substance, you wouldn’t be half-wrong. However, Dylan Brown’s Caffeine is actually an upcoming horror title for PC that has begun garnering funds via IndieGoGo. Check out the mini-teaser trailer above.
Caffeine follows the tale a young man who wakes up on a space mining platform meant to extract caffeine, the world’s most popular substance to abuse in the year 2097. Taking inspiration from F.E.A.R. and Condemned, Caffeine sees you traveling through the station and investigating why it’s abandoned.
Releasing on PC, Caffeine is heavy on the exploration and features no weapons to that effect. It was originally created as an Unreal Engine 3 game but moved to Unreal Engine 4. Currently, Brown is seeking $80,000AUD in funding – Caffeine has received $305 with 45 days remaining as of this time. You can also check out a demo for the game here.
