We recently reported that Call of Duty Ghosts is getting a companion app and now we have the first trailer for it, which you can check above.
When Nintendo decided to make the second screen experience integral to the Wii U, they probably did not guess that it would be so widely proliferated and aped without the need for proprietary technology like the Wii U’s; indeed, Activision have announced the second screen experience for Call of Duty: Ghosts, available via the smartphone and tablet app that will work in tandem with the game itself.
As reported earlier, the new app will allow for a wide range of second screen features for the game by allowing players to stay connected to the game at all times via a smart device of their choosing; the range of features that the app includes will include the clan metagame, accessing stats on the go, as well as a 3D soldier creating suite.
Owing to the app’s clan centric focus, and the absence of clans in the Wii U version of the game, Call of Duty: Ghosts’ companion app will work with all versions except for the Wii U one (which has a shade of irony to it).
Stay tuned for more coverage of the game.
