Capcom confirm layoffs at Vancouver studio

Capcom have confirmed that its Vancouver studio, behind the development of Dead Rising 2, has had to make redundancies.

Following a string of rumours swirling around the internet, Capcom posted a statement on Twitter, “Capcom Vancouver has let go 7% of our employees as a result of unsuitable fit with the studio goals.”

The company then followed this statement by highlighting they’re still actively looking for fresh talent, nodding furiously towards to their careers page.

The Canadian games industry has had a rough rough in recent times, following several similar layoffs and closures at Radical Entertainment, Slant Six and Rockstar Vancouver.
