Artist Baolong Zhang has done some amazing work here. He’s made a few images and a video using the Unreal Engine 3 and a few DirectX 11 features, and he’s created a character influenced by BioWare’s Mass Effect universe. It looks great, and boy, we sure do wish he had been at BioWare when Mass Effect 3 was being developed.

The character model he’s made and shown off looks really well made, and there’s an incredible amount of detail to the model. It’s very impressive from a technical standpoint. Just shows that a lot more can be pushed out of Unreal Engine 3 is utilized properly.

We sure hope this is what Mass Effect 4 or the next generation Mass Effect title (whichever one comes first!) looks like,

Link cosplays have always been dear to our hearts mainly because both males and females can pull it off accurately and look really good in the process. I guess the above cosplay is a testament to Shigeru Miyamoto’s skills as a designer and veteran game developer.

Nintendo’s prestigious franchise is no stranger to critical acclaim and based on the enthusiasm of fans who partake in these cosplays and do a lot of things that can be termed as a tribute to the series, we as game journalists can only direct their passion to an embracing audience who loves Zelda and everything about it. You must know Orianna from League of Legends, right? If not, this incredible cosplay will give you an idea. Britthebadger is a professional cosplayer and was also seen at PAX this year, but here Orianna showcase really blew some minds away–it’s that accurate!

She has also done stuff related to Portal/Portal 2 and other things, which is shown on her blog here. You can see how good it looks which is a testament to the work put in the costume. It looks stunning, so check it out below.

Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films produced by Sony Pictures was something of a phenomenon, and who can forget the spunky Tobey MacGuire — the main protagonist of these films. Well, it’s time for a reboot now featuring a new cast and the origin story again — you know, the usual, how Peter Parker transforms into Spider-Man and all those things.

Director Marc Webb has given this film, The Amazing Spider-Man, a completely new look and direction and fans of Raimi’s films will take some getting used to. Sequels are being planned from what I saw after credits of the movie, and it feels like this direction suits it best.

Peter Parker, played by Andrew Garfield; and Emma Stone, who plays his love interest in the game, have pretty good chemistry between them, and that probably has to do with the fact that they’re a couple in real life as well. In the movie, it felt like there was no build up in the romance and these two felt like a couple from the day they met, which is not a bad thing in itself, but makes watching it mundane.

The film’s villain was completely underwhelming, played by Rhys Ilfans, and there was simply no attachment to his character. A complete contrast from Doctor Octopus of Spider-Man 2, which is the bar Webb should have been aiming for, however, the sequel may change things with the Goblin storyline — which is a logical outcome of the origin story.

The pacing of the film is great, with never a dull moment, and one thing that stood out was the basketball scene where Parker schooled his bully and destroyed the hoop in the process. Watching this scene in 3D, the rush was phenomenal.

Considering the film was shot entirely in 3D, the effect was mild and overall pretty disappointing. It felt like they switched off the whole thing, only intensifying it during the action sequences and even then, it’s nothing compared to the Amul Butter advertisement shown before the movie started.

The basic plot, apart from the origin story, was about how Parker stops the Lizard, who aims to make everyone in the city Lizards by using a machine that spews chemicals or whatever in the atmosphere. The scene where the city rallies around Spider-Man was well done, I suppose.

Worth a watch and getting the Blu-Ray release later if you’re a fan of Spidey in general. As for the game, you can read about that over here.

Red Dead Redemption was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010 and went on to win plenty of game of the year awards. It is widely regarded as an all-time classic.

Of course, first he took a sketch of the painting on the wall, as you can see in the first pic, and then went on to paint it, resulting in the masterpiece you see in the last pic.

“It took me a whole day (started at 3pm, finished at 3am, lots of mucking around in between) but it was fun and I would love to do it again,” he revealed in the Reddit comments section.

We came across a superb fan made  Halo film which was done on a personal budget of less than $200. The entire 4 minute movie was captured using Canon T3i and Sigma lens. The film is titled Halo: The Fallen (Prologue). It features  some insane cinematography, visual fx, costuming, sound and prop design.

This has to be smallest PlayStation that one may ever come across. We are all aware of the extremely popular Pocket Station but this one is a rarity.

Although we are pretty sure that this won’t play any of your favorite franchises like Metal Gear Solid or Resident Evil, it is still a great collectors item to own.

The way mobile and cell phones are becoming smaller and smaller is size, we can only hope that gaming consoles will follow suit as well. Hopefully the PS4 will be of that size…Ahem, you never know!
