CD Projekt RED hiring for two new RPG projects

Job listings on the CD Projekt RED website have blasted upon the doors of rumour and speculation by revealing they are working on two new RPG projects.

Earlier this month, CD Projekt RED released a highly acclaimed ‘Enhanced Edition’ of The Witcher 2 for Xbox 360, a game loved more than life itself.

CD Projekt Red states that “both are story-driven RPG games for mature players”.

“In order to continue in this spirit our journey within the constantly booming game industry, CD Projekt RED wants to reinforce its existing team with some highly talented and passionate people, who will help us in crafting new amazing projects,” states a blog post on the CD Projekt website

“Our mature dark-fantasy world is well known around the world, though if you can’t stomach dwarves, elves or sorceresses who put their ample charms on display in Playboy magazine, we’ve got also something special that might be right up your alley!

“We’re looking for people who would rather work on an entirely new and different IP – a vast RPG for which we want to assemble the best possible staff. It represents an opportunity for you to create a grand new project from the ground up!”

Speculation:

It stands to reason that ‘RPG in a dark fantasy world’ is The Witcher 3, especially given the nature of The Witcher 2’s ending and Geralt’s penchant for mischief. Although it may be entirely entirely new IP.

The ‘RPG in a brand new setting’ features a telling icon of a gun, suggesting CD Projekt RED could not only be working on their first non-Witcher title, but also their first shooter.
