This is more reasonable. Yes, the game lacks many small things from GTA, but the fact is that there is no consistency because of priorities.

GTA 4 focused on realistic car physics and character animations, and as a result, side activities and visuals took a hit. GTA 5 focused on expanding activities, from bank heists to driving airplanes, but not so much performance or car physics this time around.

Watch Dogs focuses on visuals and making a world with characters, events, and a hacking system that doesn't break or crash the game. Considering that it's a new IP, it's not surprising it's missing aspects that GTA got right.

I don't think you understand, the graphical things that are missing in this game and that are present in GTA IV are not major. They are not something that would cause a huge FPS drop or strain on the engine they are simple details, details that the devs missed. Again we are talking about attention to detail not graphical limitations. Yes, Watch Dogs runs in HD and overall looks much better than GTA but when it comes down to it they are missing some details, details Rockstar thought of over six years ago; and really to me next gen graphics should be all about the details, making it feel more real not just HD, AA, ambient occlusion and tessellation. These things make the game look pretty but not real. We want objects to act in a realistic way.

Because its graphics are by all standards "next gen". Making an open world game run in actual HD, not sub-hd, while also maintain decent frame rates and including new features across multiple platforms isn't bloody easy.

Play or GTA 4 and 5, blow up a car, and watch the fps drop. Speed around in a fast car, and watch the textures blatantly pop in across all versions. Compare character models for npc's, all of which takes place after the absurd loading time.

If we're going to also compare car physics, notice how they dropped the realistic ones? The GTA 5 cars float, no matter which vehicle, and the new animations for getting hit are stiffer.

The majority of people complaining about the visuals are still just pissed at the downgrade from the e3 versions, nothing more.

Got to be kidding, the PS4 and PC are the best versions... I've got it on PC.. maxxed out at 1080p with a stable 60fps, as long as I used FXAA.

Have you actually played the game yet because from the looks of things you havent. I've been playing watch dogs for about 6 hours now and the game is way more immerse than GTAIV and V... the only thing I did not like was that you can't shoot whilst driving but this makes hacking the enviroment whilst you drive even more fun.
