Crash Bandicoot, everyone’s favorite mammal from the PlayStation era, and once the face of the brand, made the comeback of a lifetime last year when Activision and Vicarious Visions released Crash bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, a lovingly crafted remake of the PS1 games for the PS4. The game, when it launched, was exclusive to Sony’s system, though questions about whether or not it would hit other platforms persisted.
Now, thanks to merchandizing company DHX Brands, there are indications that it will- DHX Brands published a new “Licensing Source Book Europe” for Spring 2018, in which it specifies that publisher Activision has a five year plan for the Crash franchise. This includes a PC and Nintendo Switch port of last year’s N.Sane Trilogy, followed by a brand new game in the franchise.
As for why DHX would know anything- well, because they are Activision’s partners in merchandizing for Crash, so they would presumably know of a roadmap for future releases. With that said, this is still not an official announcement, so unless we have that, it is best to just… not get too excited or anything. If you really want to play Crash, go play it on your PS4.
