Cyberpunk 2077 May Release in Q4 2019, According to Analysts

The eagerly anticipated RPG may not be as far off from release as some fear.

We’re all eagerly waiting for the release of Cyberpunk 2077, the next magnum opus from the studio that brought us The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but so far, while we have seen a fair bit of the game itself in action, there is no indication as to when it might launch.

However, if an analysis in Polish regarding CD Projekt’s future prospects by Vestor Dom Maklerski is to be believed, the launch may end up being late next year. Their comment, translated by Reddit user dr4kun, seems to suggest launch for the game in Q4 2019, also reiterating the earlier projection of 19 million units in sales for the game.

“We’re keeping to the estimation of a debut in Q4 of 2019, with sales of 19 million copies in Q4 alone, and income of 1.9 billion PLN (about 525 million USD),” the statement says.

It’s important to note a few things here: a) these analysts do not necessarily know when the game will launch, and they are guessing to the best of their ability (albeit this is an educated guess), and b), we are reading an unofficial translation of their analysis. What I am trying to say is, there are multiple degrees of abstraction involved in this news, and you should definitely treat it with the appropriate skepticism until and unless we get an official confirmation.
