Dark Souls 3 Demo Available At Gamescom

That was quick!

While we won’t be able to buy Dark Souls 3 until sometime next year, it turns out we’ll be able to see what it looks like this Fall. That is of course only if you are able to travel to Germany for this year’s Gamescom. Namco Bandai has officially announced that Dark Souls 3 will have a playable demo at the gaming conference this August. If that wasn’t good enough news, the company also announced that new content for Naruto Shippiden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will be shown off.

While E3 is still the biggest gaming conference around, Gamescom is rapidly becoming a very close second when it comes to getting info on upcoming games. It seems in fact, that most companies are using E3 to announce a game and then using Gamescom to show it off. Dark Soul 3, will of course be the first game of the series that will be making it’s debut on the current generation of consoles. Dark Souls II eventually made it’s way to the PS4 and Xbox One but it was first released on the previous versions of console.

This is also expected to be the last game in the series that will actually this kind of a story. That doesn’t mean that From is going away from the IP altogether, but the company recently said this is going to be a kind of “turning point” in the franchise. We don’t really know what that means, but at least now we’ll be able to get a good look at Dark Souls 3 when it gets demoed at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.
