As we all wait with bated breath, and prepared to die when Dark Souls Remastered makes its way to all modern gaming platforms, including the Nintendo Switch this May, we keep having small details revealed regarding the remaster to let us know how it’s shaping up.
We know that the Xbox One and PS4 versions will run at a locked 1080p and 60FPS, and their Xbox One X and Pro counterparts will upscale to 4K (though no HDR lighting on PS4 Pro unfortunately) more information has been suggested for the version coming to Nintendo’s hybrid. While there is nothing specific, we do know from Nintendo’s Japanese Website that the graphics will be specifically adjusted for the system. We are not sure what this exactly means but we can only hope that this version is getting some special attention, which should mean that they will make sure it runs well. Furthermore, it was also revealed that the level design won’t be changed.
Expected May 25, the new Dark Souls Remastered seems to be a pretty straight remaster, keeping the same combat systems and level design that made the title so influential back in 2011 to begin with. Keep it locked to Gamingbolt as we continue to update you on the game.
