In September 2019, it was confirmed that a sequel to the 2010 cult classic survival horror title Deadly Premonition was going to release exclusively for the Switch, with Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise. It will also see Swery65 returning as director and writer, so expectations are certainly high. And though there hasn’t been too much info on the game since its reveal last year, we probably won’t have to wait too long to hear an update.
Speaking with Gamereactor, Ed Valiente – CEO of Deadly Premonition 2 publisher Rising Star Games – provided an update on the sequel’s development. Valiente confirmed that the game is now in a playable state – having played over an hour of it himself – and that Rising Star Games are working with both Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe very closely, since the game is going to launch exclusively for the Switch. Valiente also said that we would be hearing more about the game in early 2020.
Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise is due out on the Switch some time in 2020. As for when we might hear something new about the game, speculation suggests that Nintendo might have a Direct presentation scheduled soon- read more on that through here.
