Over the last few years, Nintendo have gotten into the habit of showcasing a big Nintendo Direct presentation at the beginning of every year, and with 2020 having officially kicked off, many are wondering when Nintendo will be making the announcement for an upcoming Direct. And it seems that day could be approaching.
As spotted by @YuYuKami on Twitter, GameStop recently updated its database to add new unnamed Switch SKU listings. There’s twelve of them in total, and all of these seem to be pointing at upcoming announcements. And of course, this wouldn’t be the first time something like this has happened. Big Nintendo Directs are usually preceded by GameStop adding unnamed Switch SKUs to its database.
So far, Nintendo haven’t got much announced for 2020, other than Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, Xenoblade Chronicles – Definitive Edition, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so now might be a great time for Nintendo to reveal other games that are in the pipeline for the Switch this year. Either way, we’ll keep you updated in case there’s any new info, so stay tuned.
