I don’t think a subscription model is even allowed by Sony, I read somewhere that Sony doesn’t allowed this because that is already why you paying ps plus for online play

In reply to Blett. They offer us nothing worth a subscription. They use P2P and depend on Sony / Microsoft network so we are also forced to pay for Xbox Gold and PSN Plus!

I will never pay a subscription for Destiny unless they go fully dedicated servers (no P2P at all) and also do not require PSN Plus, Xbox Live Gold for online gameplay.

I am okay paying for WoW (used to fill Destiny came) because they were actually using this money to improve the game, and offer us reliable lag free connection to the game, and requires us no other subscription to anyone else to access the game.

Some might argue that having Xbox Live Gold or PSN Plus is a requirement for listing on Xbox / PSN Stores. No, it’s not. As long as the developer uses their own login credentials, usernames and servers (the game has nothing to do with Microsoft, Sony network) they will be allowed to not require a PSN Plus, XL Gold for their game, just like Diablo 3 (Blizzard) and I think ESO too!

In reply to Namesake. Right!? That's one of the BEST parts of mmos. The fact that a full uncontrollable economy grows out of these games is amazing. WoWs economy is fantastic. It's auction house perfect.

Not subscribing to a sub par mmo want to be shooter, this will open the door for too many games to do the same model. Put hundreds of hours into destiny, big fan of the game, but not that big. For years people have complained over dlc, then subscriptions and lets not forget microtransactions. Yet almost everyone caves to it. Its only by refusing that this poor model will leave. Dont get me wrong, some games are worth the subsciption because of continuous work towards making it better for all. But bungie and activision are not worth this level of dedication. If this happens how long till cod or even games not related to the company go with this model? Nope forget em, please people I beg you. Ive been gaming for over 24 years. That might not mean much to anyone, but ive seen gaming. Ive watched companies work hard for its gamers, work hard to gain fans. Now they seem to slap crap together and throw it out to the public knowing people are dumb enough to pay based solely on the name of the game. We as gamers have the ability to put this to an end, yet deside not to. We need to do this now in order to save gaming for everyone.
